What makes Prontosan Wound Irrigation Solution and Gel different?
PHMB and Betaine.
- PHMB, also known as Polyhexanide, is a polymer biguanide. PHMB is a cationic preservative which inhibits the growth of microorganisms within the product.
- Undecylenamidopropyl betaine is a zwitterionic (both, negatively and positively charged) surfactant which belongs to the betaine group.
